ABOUT US
Rev. Jerry Yer Soung served the Lord as a pastor and missionary for more than 35 years. Twenty years ago, he began to see the effectiveness of disciples making. Because of this, he began to incorporate discipleship into his ministries. During his pastoral ministry in Wausau, WI, he developed D-group (Discipleship group) and one-on-one discipleship ministries. He discipled two leaders in the church and now these two leaders have become the main disciple-makers in the church. Jerry has travelled to many churches to teach church leaders how to make disciples.
True Soung, Secretary
Mrs. True Soung is the wife of Rev. Jerry Soung. She has experience in making disciples for 20 years with her husband. She has equipped many women to become Christ’s disciples in church and on the mission field. She also has experience in disciple making through Zoom conference call.
Mrs. Julie Moua, Treasurer
Rev. Nou Houa Moua and Mrs. Julie Moua have pastored Hmong churches for more than 30 years. During the last six years, they have been involved in making disciples at their church. As the pastor’s wife, Julie has led many D-groups in the church. At the present time, she is still discipling many women in her home.
Tong Lug Thao, Board Member
Mr. Tong Lou Thao was discipled by Rev. Jerry Yer Soung for two years. His life was transformed by the Holy Spirit. Because his life was transformed through disciple-making, he began to disciple men in his church. He has led many D-groups and individuals to be disciples of Christ. He been involved with making disciples for the last eight years. During that time, he helped the Men Group at the church grow from 20 to more than 70 me. Additionally, he counsels couple who have marriages problems and disciples them to build bond relationship with God and with each other. He lives with his wife and five children in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Pang Xiong Her
Board Member
Mrs. Pang Xiong Her was discipled by Mrs. True Soung for two years. She caught the vision of discipleship because God has transformed her life. She believes that discipleship the answer to life transformation. She disciples many people through D-groups and one-on-one discipleship. Many women’s lives has been transformed by the Holy Spirit. She lives in Wausau with six children. At the present time, she has discipleship groups during weekday and weekend.
Mrs. Sye Kong, prayer coordinator
Mrs. Sye Vang Kong. She is the prayer coordinator for the Soung’s ministries for the last 10 years. She continues to be prayer warrior for the Soung’s discipleship ministry. She and her husband are the core group of a new church plant in St. Paul, MN.
